Specializing in and operating an all-dementia/memory care community

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s work in Marital & Family therapy, Marc planned on saving the world one family at a time. However, he realized early on that he could positively influence more lives working on the administrative side of programs and services that served society’s more vulnerable populations. After working for a non-profit child abuse organization for almost five years, Marc entered the senior care industry in 2006.

He started as an Assisted Living Coordinator for one of the larger providers, where he developed his foundation of quality senior care. While working in that capacity, he completed the company’s Executive Director in Training program and was promoted to Executive Director in 2009. He spent the next 10 years operating buildings as an Executive Director and/or as a Regional Director of Operations for a small national company—overseeing buildings in California, Oregon and Arkansas.

Marc resigned as an operator in 2019 to become self-employed as an Eldercare Placement Specialist. He began partnering with Senior Community Learning (SCL) in 2020 as an instructor for Continuing Education Units for other RCFE and ARF administrators. Within that same partnership, he also teaches initial certification courses for prospective administrators and provides consulting and training services to licensed facilities. As an independent contractor for SCL, he is approved by Community Care Licensing (CA Dept. of Social Services) to provide said instruction/training/consulting.
